Parts of Speech in English and Hindi

Noun (संज्ञा)

Definition: A Noun is the name of a person, place, thing, quality, condition, and action.
Hindi: किसी व्यक्ति, स्थान, वस्तु, गुण, दशा आदि के नाम को Noun कहते हैं।
Examples: Manoj, Jaipur, Pencil, Bucket, Honesty, आदि।

Pronoun (सर्वनाम)

Definition: A Pronoun is a word used in place of a noun.
Hindi: नाउन के स्थान पर प्रयुक्त होने वाले शब्द को Pronoun कहते हैं।
Examples:
He (वह – लड़का के लिए)
She (वह – लड़की के लिए)
It (यह/वह – निर्जीव के लिए)
They (वे – बहुवचन के लिए)

Verb (क्रिया)

Definition: A Verb is a word that describes an action, occurrence, or state of being.
Hindi: क्रिया एक ऐसा शब्द है जो किसी कार्य, घटना या अवस्था का पता चलता है।
Examples: Run (दौड़ना), Speak (बोलना), Laugh (हंसना), Think (सोचना), आदि।

Adjective (विशेषण)
Definition: An Adjective is a word that describes or modifies a Noun or Pronoun.
Hindi: विशेषण वह शब्द है जो किसी संज्ञा या सर्वनाम की विशेषता व्यक्त करने के लिए होता है।
Or
विशेषता बताने वाले शब्दों को Adjectives कहा जाता है।
Examples: Beautiful (सुंदर), Tall (लम्बा), Small (छोटा), Bright (उज्ज्वल), आदि।

Adverb (क्रिया-विशेषण)
Definition: An Adverb is a word that modifies/qualifies a verb, adjective, or other adverb.
Hindi: क्रिया विशेषण (Adverb) वह शब्द है जो किसी क्रिया (Verb), विशेषण (Adjective) या अन्य क्रिया विशेषण (Adverb) की विशेषता व्यक्त करने के लिए होता है।
Or
Noun, Pronoun, Sentence, Verb, Adverb, Adjective, Conjunction की विशेषता बताने वाले शब्दों को Adverb कहा जाता है।
Examples: Quickly (जल्दी), Very (बहुत), Quietly (चुपचाप), Often (अक्सर), आदि।

Preposition (संबंधसूचक अव्यय)

Definition: A Preposition is a word placed before a noun or pronoun to show its relation to another word in the sentence.
Hindi: संबंधसूचक अव्यय वह शब्द है जो संज्ञा या सर्वनाम से पहले रखा जाता है ताकि वाक्य में अन्य शब्दों के साथ उसके (Noun/Pronoun) संबंध को दर्शाया जा सके।
Examples: In (में), On (पर), At (पर/में), Under (के नीचे) आदि।

Conjunction (संयोजक)

Definition: A Conjunction is a word that joins words, clauses, phrases, or sentences.
Hindi: संयोजक (Conjunction) वह शब्द है जो दो या दो से अधिक words, clauses, phrases, या sentences को जोड़ता है।
Examples: And (और), But (लेकिन), Or (या), Because (क्योंकि) आदि।

Interjection (विस्मयादिबोधक)

Definition: An Interjection is a word or phrase that expresses strong emotion or surprise.
Hindi: विस्मयादिबोधक वह शब्द या वाक्यांश है जो मजबूत भावना या आश्चर्य व्यक्त करता है।
Examples: Wow! (वाह!), Oh! (ओह!), Alas! (हाय!), Hurrah! (हुर्रे!) आदि।
