Master Imperative Sentences: Practice & Clarity

परिचय

पहले हमने 20 imperative verbs सीखे। आज हम इन verbs की practice करेंगे, common confusions को समझेंगे और सही usage के examples देंगे।

हम similar verbs को pairs में पढ़ेंगे ताकि समझने और याद रखने में आसानी हो।

1. Close – Open (खोलना – बंद करना)

• ये दोनों verbs physical चीज़ों को खोलने और बंद करने के लिए होते हैं।

Confusion:

• Close the mobile गलत है। मोबाइल बंद करने के लिए turn off use करें।

• Open the mobile गलत है। मोबाइल चालू करने के लिए turn on use करें।

Examples:

• Close the door. (दरवाज़ा बंद करो।)

• Open the window. (खिड़की खोलो।)

• Close the book. (किताब बंद करो।)

• Open the drawer. (ड्रॉवर खोलो।)

2. Turn on – Turn off / Switch on – Switch off (चालू करना – बंद करना)

• ये verbs electronic devices के लिए होते हैं।

• Turn on और Switch on का मतलब चालू करना है।

• Turn off और Switch off का मतलब बंद करना है।

Confusion:

• दोनों pairs interchangeable हैं। British English में ज़्यादा Switch use होता है, American English में Turn।

Examples:

• Turn on the light. / Switch on the fan.

• Turn off the mobile. / Switch off the computer.

3. Give – Take (देना – लेना)

• ये दोनों verbs पूरी तरह अलग meanings के हैं।

• Give मतलब देना, Take मतलब लेना।

Examples:

• Give me some sugar. (मुझे थोड़ी चीनी दो।)

• Take this book. (यह किताब ले लो।)

4. Stop – Start (रोकना – शुरू करना)

• ये verbs actions को रोकने और शुरू करने के लिए होते हैं।

Examples:

• Stop watching TV. (टीवी देखना बंद करो।)

• Start reading the newspaper. (अखबार पढ़ना शुरू करो।)

5. Wash (धोना)

• खासतौर पर हाथ, कपड़े या किसी चीज़ को पानी से साफ़ करने के लिए।

Examples:

• Wash your hands. (अपने हाथ धो लो।)

6. Listen (ध्यान से सुनना)

• Listen मतलब जानबूझकर ध्यान से सुनना।

Examples:

• Listen carefully. (ध्यान से सुनो।)

7. Do – Make (करना – बनाना)

• Do ज़्यादातर काम या actions के लिए।

• Make कुछ बनाना या तैयार करना।

Examples:

• Do your homework. (अपना होमवर्क करो।)

• Make some tea. (चाय बनाओ।)

8. Put (रखना)

• किसी चीज़ को कहीं रखने के लिए।

Examples:

• Put it here. (इसे यहाँ रखो।)

9. Drive (गाड़ी चलाना)

• गाड़ी या किसी vehicle को चलाने के लिए।

Examples:

• Drive the car slowly. (गाड़ी धीरे चलाओ।)

10. Come (आना)

• कहीं आने के लिए।

Examples:

• Come on time. (समय पर आओ।)

11. Check (जांचना)

• किसी चीज़ को देख कर पुष्टि करना।

Examples:

• Check your email. (अपना ईमेल चेक करो।)

12. Fix (ठीक करना)

• किसी चीज़ को सुधारना या ठीक करना।

Examples:

• Fix the bicycle. (साइकिल ठीक करो।)

13. Teach (सिखाना)

• किसी को पढ़ाना या सिखाना।

Examples:

• Teach the children. (बच्चों को पढ़ाओ।)

14. Read (पढ़ना)

• कुछ पढ़ने के लिए।

Examples:

• Read the newspaper. (अखबार पढ़ो।)

15. Pack (सामान बांधना)

• अपने सामान को पैक करने के लिए।

Examples:

• Pack your bag. (अपना बैग पैक करो।)
