Subject: Urgent Attention Required for Unsanitary Conditions in Lotus Residency Area

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to draw your immediate attention to the deteriorating sanitary conditions in and around Lotus Residency, located in Andheri West, Mumbai. Over the past few weeks, the residents have been facing significant health risks due to the accumulation of garbage, stagnant water, and the resulting proliferation of pests and rodents in our locality.
Despite repeated complaints to the local municipal ward office, there has been no action taken to address these pressing issues. The garbage collection has been irregular, leading to overflowing bins and waste being strewn around residential areas. Moreover, the monsoon season has exacerbated the situation, with waterlogging becoming a common occurrence, creating ideal breeding grounds for mosquitoes and posing a severe threat of vector-borne diseases.
The unsanitary conditions have not only made living in the area unpleasant but are also a grave concern for the health and well-being of all residents, particularly the elderly and children, who are more susceptible to infections and diseases arising from such an environment.
As concerned citizens, we urge the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai to take immediate and effective measures to rectify the situation. Specifically, we request:
1. Regular and efficient garbage collection to ensure cleanliness around the residential areas.
2. Immediate clearing of stagnant water and measures to prevent waterlogging to mitigate the risk of diseases.
3. Pest and rodent control measures to eliminate health hazards associated with their proliferation.
We believe that prompt action from the municipal authorities can significantly improve the living conditions in Lotus Residency and safeguard the health of its residents. We are ready to extend our full cooperation to the municipal team and participate in community-driven cleanliness drives if required.
