Subject: Complaint Regarding Inadequate Electricity Supply and Customer Service by XYZ Power Ltd.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction and lodge a formal complaint against XYZ Power Ltd., which provides electricity services to our area in Chandigarh. Despite repeated attempts to address the issue directly with the company, there has been no satisfactory resolution, prompting me to seek intervention from the Department of Consumer Affairs.
For the past several months, residents of Sapphire Complex have been experiencing frequent and prolonged power outages without prior notice or explanation from XYZ Power Ltd. These disruptions have significantly affected our daily lives, causing inconvenience and, in some cases, financial loss due to damaged appliances. Furthermore, the customer service provided by XYZ Power Ltd. has been far from satisfactory, with calls going unanswered and complaints not being resolved in a timely manner.
Such service is unacceptable and does not meet the standards expected from a utility provider, especially considering the essential nature of electricity for households and businesses alike.
Therefore, I request the Department of Consumer Affairs to:
1. Conduct a thorough investigation into the practices of XYZ Power Ltd., particularly concerning the frequent power outages and poor customer service.
2. Ensure that XYZ Power Ltd. takes immediate corrective measures to improve the reliability of their electricity supply and the responsiveness of their customer service.
3. Implement regular monitoring of XYZ Power Ltd.’s operations to prevent future occurrences of such issues.
4. Consider imposing penalties or sanctions on XYZ Power Ltd. if found in violation of consumer rights and service standards.
Access to reliable electricity is a basic necessity, and it is imperative that utility services are held to high standards of accountability and quality. I trust that the Department of Consumer Affairs will address this complaint with the seriousness it warrants and take appropriate action to ensure that the residents of Chandigarh receive the standard of service they deserve.
