Subject: Complaint Regarding Inadequate Facilities at Mysuru Central Public Library

Dear Sir/Madam,
I hope this letter finds you well. As a regular patron and a resident of Mysuru, I am writing to express my concern over the inadequate facilities and resources at the Mysuru Central Public Library. This institution, which should be a beacon of knowledge and a community hub for learning, unfortunately, falls short in providing an environment conducive to research, study, and leisure reading due to several pressing issues.
Firstly, the library’s infrastructure is in dire need of renovation. The seating arrangements are insufficient and uncomfortable, the lighting is poor in several reading areas, and the overall maintenance of the premises leaves much to be desired. Additionally, the library’s collection of books and digital resources is outdated, with many key texts and materials missing or in a state of disrepair. The absence of a reliable internet connection and adequate computing facilities further hampers the library’s utility as a modern educational space.
Such conditions not only deter current and potential patrons from utilizing the library but also diminish the role of public libraries as essential pillars of community education and development.
Therefore, I kindly urge the Karnataka Public Library Services to:
1. Allocate funds for the immediate renovation of the Mysuru Central Public Library, including upgrades to its infrastructure and facilities.
2. Enhance the library’s collection by acquiring new and relevant books, journals, and digital resources across various fields of study.
3. Install up-to-date computing and internet facilities to meet the needs of students, researchers, and the general public.
4. Implement a regular maintenance schedule to ensure the library premises are kept in an optimal condition for its patrons.
Investing in the public library system is an investment in the intellectual growth and empowerment of our community. I hope that the issues highlighted will be addressed promptly, revitalizing the Mysuru Central Public Library as a center for knowledge and learning.
Thank you for considering this request. I am looking forward to a positive response and am available for any discussions or clarifications needed.
Sincerely,

Neha Deshpande
