Dear Nikhil,
I hope this letter finds you in great spirits and health. It’s been a while since we last caught up, and I’ve been meaning to tell you about an incredible trip I recently took. I know how much you love hearing about adventures, and this one was certainly for the books!
Last month, I had the chance to visit Manali, and believe me, Nikhil, it was a journey filled with awe-inspiring moments and breathtaking sights. Manali, as you might know, is nestled in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh, and it’s every bit as magical as the stories suggest.
The journey began with an overnight bus ride from Delhi. Watching the sunrise over the mountains as we entered Himachal was a sight I’ll never forget. The early morning light painted the peaks in shades of gold and pink, a truly mesmerizing view.
Upon reaching Manali, the first thing that struck me was the crisp, fresh air, so different from the hustle and bustle of Lucknow. Our first adventure was a trek to Jogini Falls. The path wound through lush forests and apple orchards, with the sound of the falls growing louder with each step. Reaching the falls felt like discovering a secret paradise, with the water cascading down into a clear pool. We spent hours there, just soaking in the beauty of nature.
But the highlight of the trip was visiting the Solang Valley. It’s a playground for adventure seekers, with activities like paragliding, ziplining, and even skiing. I mustered up the courage to try paragliding, and soaring above the valley, with the panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains below, was an experience I’ll carry with me forever. It felt like I was part of the sky, free and boundless.
In the evenings, we explored the Manali market, savoring local delicacies like Siddu and Thukpa, which were both delicious and comforting in the chilly weather. The warmth of the people, their stories, and the vibrant culture added layers to our adventure, making it not just a trip but a journey through the heart of Manali.
Nikhil, I wish you were there to share this adventure with me. Your enthusiasm for exploring and experiencing new cultures would have made the trip even more special. I hope we can plan a trip together soon. Maybe we can explore the serene backwaters of Kerala or the majestic forts of Rajasthan. What do you say?
I’ve attached a few photos from the trip for you to enjoy. Let’s catch up soon, maybe over a video call? I’d love to hear about your recent adventures too.
Take care and keep dreaming about new horizons to explore.
Warm regards,
Rohan
