I hope this letter finds you in the best of health and spirits. I am writing to you as a concerned resident of Rosewood Lane, where we have been experiencing severe water supply issues for the past few months. These issues range from inconsistent water supply timings to the delivery of contaminated water, which is not suitable for drinking or even general household use.
The water, when supplied, often carries a foul odor, is discolored, and contains visible sediments, raising serious concerns about waterborne diseases and the overall health of the community members, including many young children and elderly residents. Despite boiling and filtering, the water remains unsafe for consumption, compelling us to rely on expensive bottled water for drinking and cooking purposes.
Moreover, the inconsistency in supply timings has further exacerbated the situation, leaving us without water for basic sanitation and hygiene needs for extended periods. This disruption in daily life is not only inconvenient but also unacceptable in maintaining a standard quality of life.
We have raised this issue on multiple occasions with the local water supply department but, regrettably, have not seen any significant improvement or received a satisfactory response regarding a permanent solution.
Therefore, I urge the Lucknow Nagar Nigam to take immediate and effective actions to address these critical issues. Specifically, we request:
1. A thorough investigation into the cause of the contamination and inconsistency in the water supply to Rosewood Lane.
2. Immediate measures to ensure a regular and reliable water supply schedule.
3. Remedial actions to purify and monitor the water quality being supplied to prevent health hazards.
The residents of Rosewood Lane are eager to cooperate with the municipal authorities in any way necessary to facilitate the resolution of this issue. We believe that access to clean and reliable water is a fundamental right, and it is imperative that the concerned departments take urgent steps to restore this basic service.
