Subject: Complaint Regarding Delay and Errors in Passport Processing
Dear Sir/Madam,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction and concern regarding the excessive delay and multiple errors encountered in the processing of my passport application. Despite submitting my application with all requisite documentation three months ago, the process has been fraught with inefficiencies and inaccuracies that have yet to be resolved.
My application (File No. KOL123456789), submitted on March 15, 2024, was initially delayed due to unexplained processing hold-ups. When I finally received the passport, I discovered several critical errors, including misspellings in my name and incorrect date of birth, rendering the document invalid for travel purposes.
The errors and subsequent attempts to have them corrected have not only caused significant inconvenience but have also resulted in financial losses related to cancelled travel plans. Despite multiple visits to the passport office and numerous communications, the issues remain unresolved, with no clear timeline provided for the correction of these errors.
Given the critical nature of a passport for international travel and the right of every citizen to timely and accurate government documentation, I urge the Regional Passport Office to:
1. Conduct a thorough review of my passport application and the errors therein.
2. Expedite the correction of all inaccuracies in my passport without further delay.
3. Implement measures to prevent such errors and delays in passport processing for future applicants.
4. Provide a written apology and consider compensation for the financial losses incurred due to these errors.
The trust in our public services depends on their efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness to citizens’ needs. I hope that my experience will prompt a review and improvement of the passport processing system.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to a prompt resolution and the receipt of a correct and valid passport.
Sincerely,
Priyanka Roy
