Subject: Complaint Regarding Poor Quality of Ration Distributed in Shakti Nagar

I hope this letter finds you in good health. I am writing to you as a concerned resident of Shakti Nagar, Raipur, to bring to your immediate attention the substandard quality of ration being distributed under the Public Distribution System (PDS) in our locality.
Over the past few months, it has been observed that the grains, pulses, and other essentials provided through the local ration shop have been of noticeably poor quality. The rice often contains stones and husks, the wheat flour is sometimes damp and clumpy, and the pulses have been found to be infested with insects on multiple occasions. Such conditions not only make these food items unsuitable for consumption but also raise serious health concerns for the families relying on the PDS for their daily nutrition.
The PDS is a vital lifeline for many households in our community, especially those from economically weaker sections. It is disheartening to see that instead of receiving the support they need, these families are being exposed to potential health risks due to the compromised quality of the ration provided.
Therefore, I kindly request the Chhattisgarh Civil Supplies Corporation to:
1. Conduct a thorough quality check of the food items being distributed through the PDS outlets in Shakti Nagar.
2. Take immediate corrective measures to ensure that only food items that meet the safety and quality standards are supplied.
3. Implement regular inspections and monitoring of ration shops to maintain the quality of the distributed items consistently.
4. Take stringent action against suppliers or officials found compromising the quality of the ration.
Ensuring the provision of quality food items through the PDS is essential for the well-being and health of the beneficiaries. I trust that the Civil Supplies Department will address this issue with the seriousness it deserves and take swift action to rectify the situation.
