Subject: Formal Complaint of Misconduct by a Public Servant
Dear Sir/Madam,
I hope this letter finds you in the best of circumstances. I am writing to file a formal complaint against Mr. Anil Kumar, a public servant employed in the Jaipur Municipal Corporation, for professional misconduct and unethical behavior, which I was subjected to on June 1, 2024, during a visit to the corporation’s office for property tax clarification.
Mr. Kumar’s behavior was not only unprofessional but also demeaning. Despite my polite inquiries and the presentation of all relevant documents, Mr. Kumar was dismissive, resorting to unnecessary rudeness and making inappropriate comments that were both unwarranted and offensive. His conduct was far from the expected standards of courtesy, respect, and professionalism required from a public servant.
Such behavior is not only detrimental to the image and integrity of the Jaipur Municipal Corporation but also discourages citizens from seeking necessary services due to fear of similar treatment. Public servants are expected to uphold the highest standards of conduct, serving the public with respect, impartiality, and efficiency. Unfortunately, Mr. Kumar’s actions starkly contrast these values.
Therefore, I request the Rajasthan Public Service Commission to:
1. Conduct a thorough investigation into the incident involving Mr. Anil Kumar on June 1, 2024.
2. Take appropriate disciplinary action against Mr. Kumar if found guilty of misconduct.
3. Implement measures to prevent such incidents in the future, ensuring that all public servants adhere to the code of conduct and treat citizens with the respect and dignity they deserve.
I believe that addressing this complaint will reinforce the public’s trust in our institutions and emphasize the importance of ethical conduct in public service.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I trust that the Commission will take prompt and just action in response to this complaint. I am willing to provide further details if required and look forward to your timely response.
Sincerely,
Divya Sharma
