Subject: Discrepancies Observed in the Answer Key for Class 12 Physics Examination 2024
Dear Sir/Madam,
I hope this letter finds you in good health. I am writing to you as a concerned student who appeared for the Class 12 Physics examination under the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in March 2024. I wish to bring to your attention several discrepancies I have observed in the official answer key released by CBSE for this examination.
After thoroughly reviewing the answer key posted on the CBSE website, I noticed that the answers provided for questions 5, 9, and 14 do not align with the widely accepted scientific principles and calculations taught to us. This has raised concerns among many students, including myself, as these discrepancies could significantly impact our final grades.
For question 5, the answer key opts for Option A, whereas, based on the laws of thermodynamics we were taught, Option C is the correct answer. Similarly, for question 9, the answer key incorrectly lists Option B as correct, overlooking the principles of electromagnetic induction that would denote Option D as the correct choice. Lastly, question 14’s answer, according to the key, is Option B, which conflicts with the standard formulae for calculating wave speed, making Option A the accurate answer.
These discrepancies not only affect our confidence in the fairness of the evaluation process but also the accuracy of our final scores, which are crucial for our future academic and career opportunities.
Therefore, I kindly request that the CBSE:
1. Re-evaluate the answers for questions 5, 9, and 14 of the Class 12 Physics examination 2024.
2. If inaccuracies are found, revise the answer key accordingly and ensure that the corrected key is used for the evaluation of the answer sheets.
3. Communicate any changes in the answer key and the subsequent impact on the scores to the affected students promptly.
I believe in the integrity of the CBSE and its commitment to upholding the highest academic standards. Addressing this concern will not only rectify the immediate issue but also reinforce trust in the evaluation process among students and parents alike.
I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to a swift and favorable resolution. Please let me know if further information or clarification is needed from my end.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Aarav Singh
