Dear Mom and Dad,
I hope this letter finds you both well and enjoying your usual weekend activities. I’ve been doing some thinking lately, reflecting on our conversations about personal development and the importance of continually challenging ourselves. It’s with this spirit of growth in mind that I write to you today, eager to share my thoughts and, hopefully, gain your support and advice.
For some time now, I’ve been feeling a strong desire to expand my horizons and explore new avenues of creativity and learning. After much consideration, I’ve decided that I want to learn how to play the guitar. This isn’t a whimsical decision spurred by fleeting interests but a genuine desire to embrace music in a way that I haven’t before.
Music has always been a source of comfort and inspiration for me, as you know. However, I’ve always been on the receiving end of it, letting others’ creations move and motivate me. Now, I feel a compelling urge to participate in this beautiful form of expression, to understand its language, and to create melodies that reflect my thoughts and emotions.
Learning the guitar represents more than just acquiring a new skill; it’s about embarking on a journey of self-expression and discovery. It’s about learning discipline through practice, patience through progression, and resilience through the challenges of mastering something new. These are qualities I admire and strive to embody in all areas of my life.
I’ve researched some beginner courses and found a reputable music school nearby that offers evening classes, which would fit perfectly with my schedule. The commitment is manageable, and the more I think about this, the more excited I become about the possibilities that lie ahead.
I write to you not only to share this new chapter I wish to start but also to seek your encouragement and wisdom. Your support has always been the bedrock of my confidence to try new things, and it means the world to me. I’m also keen to hear your thoughts, any advice you might have, or if there are any concerns you’d like me to consider.
This isn’t just about learning to strum a few chords but about growing as a person, about connecting with something larger than myself, and about finding new ways to express the myriad thoughts and feelings that dance through my mind daily.
I look forward to discussing this more with you both and hearing your thoughts. Thank you for always encouraging me to explore, learn, and dream. Your support and love have always been my guiding lights.
With all my love and excitement for the journey ahead,
Devansh
