Subject: Urgent Attention Needed for Maintenance Issues in Jasmine Block
Dear Sir/Madam,
I hope this letter finds you in good spirits. I am writing to you as a resident of Jasmine Block, Lotus Enclave, to express my concerns regarding several maintenance issues that have been persistently neglected, adversely affecting the living conditions and safety of the residents.
Over the past few months, the following issues have become increasingly evident and problematic:
1. Water Leakage: There are multiple instances of water leakage from the ceiling in the common hallway of Jasmine Block, indicating potential damage to the building’s structure and plumbing system. This not only poses a risk of property damage to the residents but also presents a safety hazard due to the slippery conditions it creates.
2. Elevator Malfunction: The elevator in Jasmine Block has been out of service intermittently over the last six weeks. Despite repeated complaints, the repair work has been temporary and ineffective, causing significant inconvenience to all residents, especially the elderly and those with mobility issues.
3. Security Lighting: Several outdoor security lights around Jasmine Block are non-functional. This lack of proper lighting compromises the safety of residents during the night and needs immediate rectification.
The residents of Jasmine Block have brought these issues to the notice of the maintenance staff on multiple occasions, but the response has been inadequate, with no permanent solutions being implemented.
Given the gravity of these concerns, I urge the Lotus Enclave Housing Society’s managing committee to take immediate action by:
1. Conducting a comprehensive assessment of the mentioned issues by qualified professionals.
2. Undertaking necessary repairs and maintenance work without further delay to address the water leakage, elevator malfunction, and inadequate security lighting.
3. Providing the residents with a timeline for when these issues will be resolved, along with regular updates on the progress of the maintenance work.
The residents of Lotus Enclave pride ourselves on the quality of our living environment, and it is crucial that the housing society upholds its responsibility to maintain the premises to the standard that we all expect and deserve.
