11. Write a letter to a friend sharing your experience of attending a cultural festival.

Dear Meera,
How have you been? I’ve been thinking about you a lot lately, especially since I went to this amazing cultural festival last week. It was the Onam festival here in Kerala, and I wish you could have been here to see it.
Onam is such a beautiful festival. It celebrates the story of King Mahabali and marks the start of the harvest season. Everyone decorates their homes with flowers and lights. The best part is the Onam Sadya, a special meal with lots of dishes served on a banana leaf. I got to try it, and it was delicious!
There were also boat races, dance performances, and so much more. I saw the Kathakali dance for the first time. The dancers wore colorful costumes and makeup. It was really cool to see how they tell stories through dance.
I learned a lot about Kerala’s culture and traditions during the festival. It made me feel really proud and happy to be part of such a vibrant community. I took lots of photos and videos. I’ll send them to you on WhatsApp. I hope they make you feel like you were here with me.
I miss you and hope we can go to a festival together someday. Maybe next time you can come here for Onam, or we can go to a festival in your city. It would be so much fun to experience something like that together.
